My name is Darlene Mendoza. I’m a Texan living in the beautiful country of Guatemala with my husband. I’m a follower of Christ, yet a sinner. I’m an English teacher learning Spanish. I’m a millennial trying to follow my dreams. I’m a part-time traveler always planning my next adventure with my husband. Currently still planning…
This blog is about being REAL. Life is so great, so wonderful, but what makes it so perfect is its imperfect moments that we live. My entire life I’ve been taught to be myself and embrace it. It hasn’t always been easy, but I don’t want to change that mentality here in this blog. So, if you feel so inclined to join me in all the realness, please follow along and we can venture through this life together!
Why An Eternal Spring?
First off, Guatemala is known as the “land of the eternal spring”. The average weather in Guatemala is 75º year-round, making it springtime all the time! I’m going to be writing about my adventures here in Guatemala, and beyond!
Spring is a time of growth & renewal. I think that life is meant to be lived by taking chances and going out of our comfort zones. By doing these things, we are able to grow as people. And in life we never stop growing. I also think it’s important to partake in self-evaluations. What do we need to improve on? How can we delete negativity to become better people? These little things help us to renew ourselves. This process is eternal.
Let’s grow and renew together 🙂
